- 1). Cut the cardboard into a 5-inch long narrow triangle. Use a photo as a guide to get the right shape.
- 2). Fold the triangle lengthwise in half and trim the base to fit around the nose of mask. Make sure the base does not obscure the eyes or mouth when placed over the mask.
- 3). Tear crepe paper into small strips about 1/2 inch wide and a couple of inches long.
- 4). Brush the strips with white glue and layer onto the cardboard. Use the bits of paper to form such features as the nostrils and overhanging tip. Let dry.
- 5). Hot glue the beak to the mask.
- 6). Cover the seam between the mask and beak with more paper strips.
- 7). Paint the mask and beak, using the picture as a guide. Let dry.
