  Cannon Falls, Minnesota, is a small town approximately 40 miles southeast of Minneapolis-St. Paul. It is located in the Cannon Valley, at the junction of the Big and Little Cannon Rivers, and provides: biking, hiking, skiing, canoeing, camping and inner tubing. • The Cannon Falls Campground offers full-service camping for people in tents all the way up to those in RVs. Amenities include: full bathrooms with showers, water and electric hookups, picnic table and fire ring at each camp site, sanitary dump station and a social hall for rent. On-site recreation includes: heated pool, video arcade, horseshoes, basketball and volleyball courts and a softball field.

Lake Byllesby Campground

• Lake Byllesby Campground is located along the shores of Lake Byllesby Reservoir, the largest lake in southern Dakota County, in the Cannon River Valley. It is a full-service campground with options for both tents and RVs. Amenities include: picnic table and fire ring at each site, restrooms with showers, camp store, children's playground and a sanitary dump site. Activities include: hiking, biking, swimming and boating--there is a boat launch in the campground.

Hidden Valley Campground

• Located about nine miles outside of Cannon Falls in the small town of Welch, Minnesota, is the Hidden Valley Campground. It has 200 sites for both RVs and tents right along the Cannon River. Amenities include: picnic tables and fire rings, water, electricity, sewer hookups, showers, camp store and disposal station. Activities include: hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, canoeing and inner tubing, playground, volleyball court and hunting.
