The ABCs of Weight Loss

Losing weight is something almost everyone has tried to do at one time or another.
For some people it is a simple matter and done with ease.
Unfortunately it is not so easy for most of us.
There are a lot of supposedly "quick and easy" diets that will help you lose weight but they aren't always as easy as they say and the results aren't what you might expect for everyone.
I found one simple rule that helps the weight fall off me like water draining down the bathtub.
Every time you eat anything at all you are putting calories into your body.
Your body uses calories as fuel.
Most people simply get way too many calories than the body needs to use as fuel.
Pareto's Principle states 80% of any results comes from 20% of the effort you extend.
This is often referred to as the 80/20 rule.
With this rule in mind I began to search for the 20% of effort that provided me with the most weight loss.
The answer to this search was so simple.
To lose weight you have to burn more calories than you put into your body.
This simple answer became a rule written in stone.
To lose weight you have to use more calories than you take in.
When you first hear this new rule you will be amazed by it's simplicity.
"Well, of course that's true!" is the usual response.
Unfortunately many people overlook this when they go about trying to lose weight.
They are concerned with eating the "approved" foods, or getting the right amount of exercise, that they often forget about the 80/20 rule.
The first week I put this simple rule in to practice I lost seven pounds.
Seven pounds lost without eating supposedly "diet" food, without measuring everything I eat, and even without changing my life drastically.
Seven pounds lost because I made sure all of the calories I took in were used.
The weight seemed to just disappear.
No pain, but the gain was an amazing 7 pounds lost in just a week.
People often ask how you can take in less calories with out being hungry but that is actually a lot easier than you think.
If you know where to look there are some great products available that not only help you control your hunger but can give you a great energy boost as well.
