- 1). Remove as much of the dirt and grass you can that has accumulated on the bottom of your cleats using an old toothbrush.
- 2). Turn a specially designed cleat wrench counter-clockwise to pop out the old spikes.
- 3). Discard the old spikes.
- 4). Clean any remaining debris from the bottom of the shoe, using an old toothbrush. Make sure the holes where the spikes will be screwed back in are completely debris-free. Use a screwdriver to pull out anything that is stuck.
- 5). Insert the new spikes into the holes. Turn the wrench clockwise until the spikes are firmly in place.
