Heating Up Vs Cooling Off

Being mammals, we can all regulate our body temperature to a certain extent.
However, past a point, extreme temperatures can be detrimental to our health.
Even when a temperature isn't quite extreme enough to hurt our health, we can quickly become uncomfortable.
Because of the various climates found across the world and throughout the seasons, both heating up and cooling off are important processes.
When we find ourselves in cold weather, the first thing we want to do is to keep ourselves as warm as possible.
Keeping your body and its extremities warm can be done by wearing thick clothing.
If you're not warm enough, you can always add another layer to your outfit.
A fire can be used to drastically warm yourself up.
Today, most people have furnaces and heating systems in their cars to keep them warm throughout the day.
Staying warm is important to our health because it prevent hypothermia and frostbite.
When we find ourselves on a particularly hot day, we want nothing more than to cool ourselves off.
Avoiding direct sunlight by staying in the shade is the easiest method to stay cool.
Drinking water gives us more to sweat off, and the process of sweating can cool the body down.
Air conditioners are now quite prevalent in houses and buildings today.
Not as common as furnaces, air conditioning is a luxury that is easy to appreciate.
Staying cool in the heat prevents heat exhaustion.
Today, with heating and air conditioning, Cincinnati isn't a place too difficult to stay healthy and comfortable in, regardless of the climate.
Heating up can be easier than cooling off, as you can always add more layers, and cooling off can be hard when you don't have a fan or air conditioner.
However, both are on the same level of importance when it comes to our health.
