- 1). Raise the vehicle using a car jack and support it securely with the jack stands.
- 2). Place drain pan directly below the transmission.
- 3). Remove the front and side transmission pan mounting bolts using the ratchet wrench and proper socket. Only loosen the rear transmission pan bolts.
- 4). Pry the transmission pan loose with a screwdriver.
- 5). Remove the remaining pan bolts using the ratchet wrench.
- 6). Remove the pan cover and gasket with your hands and carefully clean the gasket surface using a shop towel.
- 7). Drain the fluid from the transmission pan.
- 8). Remove the transmission fluid filter from the transmission valve body and replace with the new filter.
- 9). Install new gasket and put the transmission pan in place against the transmission and, working around the pan, tighten each bolt a little at a time until fully tightened with the ratchet.

Lower the vehicle and add the specified amount of transmission fluid into the vehicle's filler tube.
