- The HTL highboy (vertical) series produces between 79,000 and 119,000 British thermal units per hour (BTU/hr). It has an annual fuel utilization efficiency (AFUE) rating of up to 83 percent. The AFUE rating indicates the overall efficiency of your unit. In this case, for every dollar that you spend on your heating bill, $0.83 actually goes to heating your home. This is an upflow furnace.
- The MPL counterflow/horizontal series furnace has an AFUE rating up to 80.1 percent. It produces between 91,000 and 128,000 BTU/hr. You can only fire this furnace at 128,000 BTU/hr if you purchase the optional high-fire kit. The horizontal design of this furnace allows you to place it in areas with low ceilings. This is a downflow furnace.
- The WML counterflow/horizontal series is a direct-vent type of furnace. A direct-vent systems doesn't use a chimney to remove combustion material. Instead, it expels this material through the wall of your house via two vents, and these two vents also bring in outdoor air into your home for combustion purposes. The WML series models produce between 60,000 and 90,000 BTU/hr, and they have an AFUE rating of 82 percent. The cabinets of these models are made of 20-gauge steel with a scratch-resistant powder coating. This is an upflow furnace.
- The HML highboy series is another type of direct-vent, upflow oil furnace. The burners and the blower are located in a separate compartment, and the door of this compartment has a built-in handle. The door on this series just clips on, allowing you to easily remove it and access your furnace components. This series has an AFUE rating of 82 percent, and it produces between 60,000 and 100,000 BTU/hr.
- The BCL 190 Series lowboy (horizontal), upflow series includes the BCL190 and BCL225 models, and these models produce between 168,000 and 224,000 BTU/hr. You must purchase a high-performance cabinet to fire at rates between 196,000 and 224,000 BTU/hr. These models have an AFUE of 78 percent.
