- 2). Shop the day away on the Outdoor Washington Street Mall in the heart of town. Quaint, upscale shops offer everything from home decor and clothing, to special gifts and seashore souvenirs. Numerous restaurants and snack places should you get hungry.
- 3). Admire beautiful gardens at Leaming's Run Garden and Colonial Farm. With winding paths and 25 themed gardens, this is the perfect place to learn about nature and just relax. Bridges, ponds, bamboo groves, beautiful flowers, benches and gazebos all make this a must-see attraction. Don't overlook the Colonial Farm while you are there. It is a replica of farm life that revisits what early settlers in Cape May dealt with when the area was first founded. The gardens are open daily from May 15 through October 10.
- 4). Hike to the top of the Cape May Point Historic Lighthouse for an aerial view of Cape May and the beautiful ocean that surrounds the lighthouse. Tours are self-guided and can be taken daily from April to November, as well as most weekends during the year.

- 6). Go for a ride on the Cape May Whale Watcher. See amazing creatures in their own habitats while enjoying a boat ride. Boat tours run from March through December. Call (800) 786-5445 for more details.
- 7). Go to Sunset Beach at the tip of the island just down the street from the Cape May lighthouse. You can catch some rays on the beach, swim in the Atlantic Ocean, watch the sunset and pick up Cape May diamonds, tiny pebbles that reside in the sand that look like diamonds.
