- 1). Lift the drum up and place it inside the cabinet with the support shaft facing you. Wrap the dryer belt around the drum and then slide the belt over the motor pulley.
- 2). Place the drum shaft support on the back of the rear panel with the pins of the shaft support facing down. Attach the support flange over the top of the drum shaft support until it snaps into place. Secure the support flange to the rear panel using the four retaining screws.
- 3). Position the rear panel over the Whirlpool dryer cabinet and push it into place until the drum shaft snaps into the drum shaft support. Secure the rear panel to the dryer using the eight Torx screws and a Torx wrench.
- 4). Stand the dryer back up on its bottom. Use a screwdriver to reattach the heater access panel and the air intake cover using their retaining screws.
- 5). Reconnect the blue and brown wires to the AC line terminal block. Slide the wire leads over the terminals to reconnect them. Reconnect the ground wire beside the terminal block using the ground retaining screw.
- 6). Place the top braces back on top of the dryer. Secure the cross-braces to the top of the side panels using the four retaining screws.
- 7). Slide the top panel into place on the dryer. Position the front locking tabs into the panel. Secure the rear of the top panel to the dryer using the two retaining screws.
- 8). Reattach the dryer duct to the exhaust and plug the dryer back into the dryer outlet.
- 1). Place the dryer belt around the dryer drum. Lift the drum and set it inside the Whirlpool cabinet. Make sure that the rear of the drum sits inside the rear boot if your model is equipped with a rear boot. Route the belt over the motor pulley and the idler pulley. Pull the idler pulley to the right to apply tension to the belt.
- 2). Position the front panel to the front of the dryer and secure it with the four corner retaining screws. Reconnect the dryer door switch wiring harness by pressing it back together until the locking tabs engage. Reconnect the dryer door springs to the base of the Whirlpool dryer.
- 3). Push the toe panel back into place under the front panel. Position the dryer top into the front panel locking tabs and secure the rear of the dryer top using the three retaining screws. Flip the control console back into its working position and secure it to the dryer top with retaining screws.
- 4). Plug the Whirlpool dryer back into the wall socket and push the dryer back into its permanent position.
