There are a few factors to consider when it comes to college Halloween costumes. There isn't always a lot of time to plan ahead, so costumes must be easy to throw together at the last minute. Costumes for college students should also be fairly cheap or even free. Above all, a college student's costume has to get a lot of laughs. - Portrait of a teens(hacker, student). This party is reserved for nerds only. Guys sporting '70s satin running shorts with knee high socks are just as funny as girls with garish blue eye shadow, ponytails and taped glasses. Hit the local thrift store for really nerdy clothes--polyester suits, button-up shirts, loud ties and oversized glasses for a truly nerdy look for just a few dollars. - Give new life to those sweet cartoon characters you watched on television as a child. Turn those motherly, plain, sweet figures into vixens for this costume party. Give Olive Oyl a new look with thigh-high socks and a short skirt to go with those leather boots of hers. Her date Bluto, with his unbuttoned shirt and gold chains, can make her swoon when he flexes his muscles. Innocent Raggedy Ann can look saucy with a short frilly skirt and 4-inch red heels. Her date, Raggedy Andy, can sport a fedora and some bling for the occasion. No risqué character party would be complete without Betty Boop.
- Most college students have a favorite SNL character. Host a party for the cast and let the fun begin. Insist that the Blues Brothers give you a song and dance or that those two outcast cheerleaders stay away from the popular kids. Don't tease that awkward Catholic school girl, Mary Katherine, too much when she arrives. Other characters include the Church Lady, the ambiguous Pat, Mr. Bill, and all of those presidents who made regular guest appearances on the show.
- Famous duos provide the perfect excuse for couples or best friends to dress up for a Halloween party together. Clark Kent and Lois Lane have pretty easy costume attire, but are still fun to impersonate. Britney and K-Fed won't be hard to miss with a blond wig and pop-star dress pair up with his tank top and loose pants. Sonny and Cher are crowd favorites. For bigger laughs, go as a threesome: Brangelina and a bitter Jennifer.
