- Chip Foose began working on custom cars at age seven for his dad's Project Design company. After graduation from the Art Center College of Design, Chip worked for several car customizers and later, Ford Motor Company. In 1998 he founded Foose Design, builders of limited production custom cars.
- In 2007 Foose Design and Unique Performance started production of Ford Mustang based muscle cars. The custom designed coupe and convertible ponycars are called Foose Stallions with only a few thousand built a year. They feature two-tone paint jobs with racing stripes and optional graphics.
- Foose Mustangs use modified overall bodies, hoods, grilles, spoilers, fascias and pillar scoops, all designed by Chip Foose. They have 20 inch aluminum wheels designed and manufactured by Foose. The cars have racing suspension springs, shocks, dampers and rear sway bars. They feature supercharged 425 horsepower engines and Baer brakes.
