RV Parks in Warrenton, Georgia

      Warrenton is a small community of approximately 2,000 residents in eastern Georgia. This tiny town is about a 45-minute drive away from Augusta, Georgia, home of the Master's golf tournament. The University of Georgia, which is located in Athens, is a slightly longer drive to the northwest. There is only one RV park in Warrenton, but others are located nearby,

    Rocky Comfort Plantation RV Park

    • The Rocky Comfort Plantation RV Park is the only RV park in Warrenton, and it is only for overnight campers with RVs. One of its biggest features is fishing privileges for guests. All of the sites can handle big rigs and are pull-throughs. The sites are full hook-ups with water, sewage disposal, and 30-50-amp electric connections. The park is open year-round, and reservations are not required.

    Hamburg State Park

    • Located 14 miles from Warrenton, Hamburg State Park is spread out over 741 acres that include a large lake. There are not a lot of facilities, but there are 30 campsites that can accommodate RVs, tents or trailers. The park includes two picnic areas, a grist mill and museum, and a country store. Popular activities in the park are hiking and fishing, and boat rentals are available. The campsites can accommodate RVs up to 50 feet. Each site has water, 30-amp electrical, a picnic table, a grill and a fire ring. Collecting firewood is allowed.

    Raysville-Thomson Campground

    • Located 22 miles northwest of Warrenton, the Raysville-Thomson Campground is situated along Georgia's Little River section of the large J. Strom Thurmond Lake. There are 55 sites with full RV electricity and water hook-ups. The property has two shower/restroom facilities, picnic areas, a boat ramp, a comfort station and a dump station. Visitors will enjoy the beaches and hiking trails on the grounds. Reservations are required in advance.
