The Children's Museum of Cleveland is an interesting and interactive place for kids and adults to learn and have fun together.
Located in the University Circle neighborhood, the museum, established in 1981, is designed specifically for children ages 12 months - 8 years and their caregivers.
The Exhibits:
The Children's Museum gives kids the opportunity to learn by doing fun things. Permanent exhibits includeSplish! Splash!, which is all about water transportation.
This section also include the weather forecast center, in which kids can present their own weather broadcast in front of a camera and play it back.
Other Children's Museum exhibits include Bridges to the Community, where kids can push their own grocery carts, go through the check-out line, "bank" with play money, and pump their own "gas," among other activities.
TheBig Red Barn, based on the book by Margaret Wise Brown, is designed for the youngest kids (ages 0-4) and their caregivers. Features include a working silo, a barn slide, and an apple orchard.

The Children's Museum of Cleveland is easy to get to from downtown and Cleveland's east side. Located on an island between Euclid and Chester Avenues, the museum has ample free parking. Be sure to stop at the Elf's Corner, the museum's gift shop. It's full of fun, interactive toys and games.
