Why You Need A Workout Log

If you are going to get up and get moving for your health, you are making a great choice not just for your life, but also for those that love you.
Staying healthy is not easy in our modern world because there are so many things that we no longer have to do, leaving us motionless at times, even when we are hard at work.
The workout has become a necessity for some people to lose weight or to maintain a healthy weight.
If you are new to the game of working out, you may want to start a workout log so that you can keep track of your progress.
You may think that a workout log is a waste of time because you can remember what you did and what you want to do.
Can you remember what you had for breakfast three days ago? Unless you have the same thing each morning, you may not remember what that was.
The same can happen with anything in life.
When we get use to doing something all of the time, we tend to forget the details.
A workout log can keep track of what you have done in the event you forget.
Don't assume you can remember and keep track, just in case.
Why do you need a workout log? The answers to that depend on who you are.
If you are new to working out, you want to start slowly and then steadily build up the time you are spending on each type of workout.
If you start with walking, for example, you should start with a small amount of time going a short distance, especially if you are out of shape and obese.
You should then slowly add distance while trying to walk faster to burn more calories while walking.
A workout log helps you keep track of time, distance, and even how often you manage to get moving.
If you are adding other things to your routine, your workout log can help you remember where you are in your plan.
If you have been lifting weights, you want to add more reps but only after a certain amount of time.
The workout log you start can be used to keep track of how much weight you are lifting as well as how many reps you are doing.
You can then look back and decide that it is time to move it up a notch with more weight or that it is time to move on to a different type of setup.
It's great if you can keep this in your head but you may not get the results that you want if you rely on your mind to keep track for you.
Your workout log is also something that you can show to your doctor.
Sometimes, the best person to help you with your weight loss or health goals is a doctor.
They will want to see what you have been doing and what progress you have made.
If you have a workout log already done, you can easily show them what you have been up to rather than trying to remember the specifics.
If you hire a personal trainer, this log can help them see what you have been doing when you are exercising without them.
