For the 961SE and Sport models, the front suspension is a 1.69-inch Ohlins RWU with compression damping and and adjustable preload. Norton Commando 961 Cafe Racers utilize a 1.69-inch Ohlins USD front suspension that also include rebound damping. The rear suspensions for these motorcycles is a Ohlins reservoir-style, twin shocks with adjustable compression, preload and ride height.
- The Norton Commando 961SE and 961 Sport feature steering with triple-clamp lower yokes and fully-machined billet yokes. Norton Commando 961 Cafe Racers feature black anodised billet yokes for steering. The 961SE is available in black and gold colors while the Cafe Racer and Sport models are available in red and gold, black and gold, silver, red and black and yellow and black color schemes. These motorcycles feature a constant mesh, five-speed gearbox and a 525 "O"-ring chain final drive.
