How to Boost Your Self-Confidence After Your Divorce by Acting the Part

If you want to make friends or even attract a new partner after your divorce, first you have to learn to love yourself.
Everyone's attracted to confident people, but how do you make your self-confidence and self-esteem grow? While you might need to work on the deeper issues to really become confident, you can act the part and boost your self-confidence by following a few simple tips.
If you want to feel more confident, the first thing you need to do is look the part.
Have you ever noticed how confident people wear clothes that make them look really good? If you're depressed or lack confidence, chances are that your clothes are too big or too small, dirty or falling apart.
If you're wearing clothes that make you look unattractive, you'll feel unattractive.
If even your best clothes are unflattering, it's time to do something about your body.
Consider adding exercise to your daily routine.
Exercising regularly not only helps you get your body in better shape, but also helps your mood.
When you exercise, you release endorphins into your brain, which help you feel happy and healthy.
These good feelings help contribute to natural self-confidence.
Try to pay special attention to how you walk and how you stand.
Your body language can tell people that you're confident.
Studies have shown that muggers and thieves are more likely to target people who looks lost or unsure of where they're going, so adopting a confident walk can actually protect you from violence as well as attract positive people to you.
Stand up straight whether you are walking or standing; don't slump over or look at the ground.
Take long, confident strides, as if you know exactly where you're going and are in control of how long it takes to get there.
If you meet people on the way to where you're going, look them in the eye, smile and nod.
With each step, remind yourself that you are confident and in control of your life and soon your walking and posture will reflect this attitude.
Low self-confidence is painful.
You feel invisible to others, yet you feel afraid to speak up and make yourself seen.
You can't increase your confidence overnight, of course; it takes time and effort.
However, by making some simple changes in how you relate to the world, you can boost your self-confidence and start feeling better about yourself.
