How to Cook a Roast on a Campfire

    • 1). Chop all vegetables into small, bite-sized pieces on a cutting board.

    • 2). Season 2 lbs. of beef cubes with salt and pepper.

    • 3). Tear off two large pieces of heavy duty aluminum foil.

    • 4). Arrange aluminum foil sheets next to each so that the sides overlap.

    • 5). Fold the top and bottom of the aluminum sheets over, securing the two sheets together.

    • 6). Place chopped vegetables and seasoned beef cubes on the center of the aluminum foil.

    • 7). Mix 1 pkg. of onion soup mix with 1 cup hot water in a bowl.

    • 8). Pour onion soup mixture over the beef and vegetables.

    • 9). Fold all four aluminum foil corners into the center so that the food is secured within.

      Place aluminum foil package over low coals for an hour.

    • 11

      Cut into beef before serving to make sure the meat is cooked well. If the meat is too pink, place it back over the coals for another fifteen minutes.
