Chili is an all-time Mexican favorite stew. It is made from cumin seeds, garlic, chili peppers, onions, beans and tomatoes along with beef, chopped or grounded. It is also used as a garnish and also as a dip.

Chili verde is the hottest Mexican stew made from chicken broth, garlic, tomatillos and poblano, jalapeo and serrano peppers. Vegans have also come up with their own version. Named "vegetarian chili", the chili's contents are tofu, potatoes and beans.

As a garnish, it has been known to spice up sandwiches. There are fast food dishes that use the cuisine as a topping, namely chili dog, burger and fries. You can also dip your tortilla chips in it and use it as a topping for your nachos.
