- Make your food anatomically themed. Prepare "finger" sandwiches and "lady's fingers." Set out a place card with the name of the food to make sure everyone gets the pun. Prepare some Jello brains for dessert with a Halloween brain mold.
- Decorate the area with simple nurse-themed items such as nurse hats as centerpieces. Have kids medical kits out for people to play with (the plastic toys of a stethoscope and bandages). Hang gauze and ace bandage streamers.
- Play Operation. It's a fun game that gets people jumping and excited and sticks to the theme. Challenge guests to see who has the best operating skills. Play "Pin the..." game, with a variation of the pin the tail on the donkey to include pinning a medical instrument on a body part. Get a poster of the human anatomy; choose a specific muscle, body part or organ and have guests try to pin the syringe or knife on the body part while blindfolded.
- Have some fun favors for guests to take home with them so they'll remember this graduation party. Buy syringe pens and highlighters. These can be found online or in most novelty stores that carry odd-ball products. Provide colorful nurse booties for guests to wear while at the party and take home. Or if you want, make it a complete outfit with disposable scrubs.
