- 1). Cut two strips of rectangular fabric measuring approximately 36 inches long and 8 inches wide. Stack the rectangle fabric pieces evenly.
- 2). Cut one end of the stack of two fabric sheets at a slight angle about 2 inches from the end. This gives it a pointed, angular end. Spread the segments of fabric apart, facing them with the dull-colored side of the fabric upward.
- 3). Squeeze a line of fabric glue along all edges of each strip of fabric. Fold the edges of the fabric inward by 1/8 inch on all sides. Let the newly hemmed fabric strips dry for 10 minutes.
- 4). Squeeze a line of glue along all inward folded edges of one of the segments of fabric. Take the other piece of fabric and place it down evenly over the glued fabric. Do this with the dull-colored side facing downward so both sides of the finished sash are right sides. Let the sash dry for 10 minutes.
- 5). Fold the sash, connecting the ends. Pin the ends in place with a decorative brooch for embellishment.
