- 1). Double-click the Internet Explorer icon on your desktop to open the Web browser in a separate window.
- 2). Click the "Tools" drop-down box located in the upper right-hand corner of Internet Explorer, then click "Internet Options." This will cause the "Internet Options" pop-up box to appear.
- 3). Click the "Connections" tab in the "Internet Options" pop-up box.
- 4). Click the "LAN Settings" button if you are using a local area network. Click the "Dial-up Settings" button if you are using a dial-up connection.
- 5). Click the boxes located next to "Automatically detect proxy settings" and "Use a proxy auto-configuration script" to uncheck them.
- 6). Click the box next to "Use a proxy server for this connection" to check-mark it.
- 7). Enter the address and port number for the proxy server into the "Address" and "Port" dialog boxes.
- 8). Click "OK" to save the changes made.

- 2). Click the "Tools" drop-down menu, then click "Options." This will cause a pop-up menu to appear.
- 3). Click the "Advanced" tab on the pop-up menu, then click the "Network" button.
- 4). Click the "Settings" button, then click "Manual Proxy Configuration."
- 5). Enter the appropriate proxy server address and port number into the "Address" and "Port" boxes, then click "OK" to save the changes made.
- 1). Click the "Safari" shortcut to open the Web browser.
- 2). Click the "Edit" drop-down menu, then click "Preferences."
- 3). Click the "Advanced" button, then click "Change Settings."
- 4). Click the "LAN Settings," "Dial-up Settings" or "Virtual Private Network Settings" button to match the connection type you are using.
- 5). Click the "Use a proxy server for this connection" box.
- 6). Enter the proxy address server and port number into the "Address" and "Port" boxes, then click "OK" to save the changes made.
