- 1). Drink at least eight glasses of water per day. The condition of your skin can be greatly improved with proper water intake. Skin that is dehydrated has less elasticity in it. Caffeine-free herbal tea can be included as part of your daily water intake.
- 2). Start weight training. Building muscle will not eliminate all of your loose skin, but the firm muscle will improve the appearance. It can be done at a gym or with workout videos and free weights at home. Lift weights at least two days per week. Make sure at least one of the sessions includes a full body workout.
- 3). Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. The vitamins in them nourish the skin. It's important to build the health of your skin from the inside, too. In particular, citrus fruits and leafy greens such as spinach should be included.
- 4). Apply vitamin E oil to your skin. It is full of antioxidants, which protect the skin from harmful elements that would break down collagen. It also helps to preserve moisture in the skin.
- 5). Wrap your skin. Providing support to the skin fibers can help reduce the appearance of loose skin and assist it in bouncing back quicker. It actually shortens the connective tissue. Wrapping your skin is most effective for the abdominal area. Wrap a stretchable bandage firmly around the abdominal area. It should be somewhat tight but not enough to actually hurt. Wear the bandage for the majority of the day. It's most effective when done every day.
