This is an extremely easy recipe that makes a great loaf of Anisette bread.
My favorite way to eat this Gluten Free bread is toasting it.
Everyone whose tried it says toasting it changes the whole flavor, especially when you don't use a conventional toaster.
This is one of my favorite recipes because of how simple the ingredients list is.
It comes out tasting delicious and crisp, with only 4 ingredients that most Celiac's have in their cupboards at all times.
(It's worth it to go to the store for the Anise Seeds) Ingredients: 1 cup white corn flour 1 teaspoon anise seed 2/3 cup sugar 2 eggs Directions: We'll begin by Preheating the oven to 375 Degrees Fahrenheit.
This recipe is fairly simple to put together, the only tricky part is toasting it.
Start by greasing and flouring a loaf pan, it should be 9x5x3 inches.
If you don't have a loaf pan, I'd recommend going to the store and getting one, as there are dozens of Gluten Free recipes for bread that you'll need one for.
Beat your eggs and sugar together well.
Add your Anise seed and flour.
Bake in the pan for around 20 minutes.
Make sure that if you stick a toothpick into it, that your toothpick comes out clean.
Your pan will only be half full.
Take your loaf out and if you have the dimensions right you should be able to cut about 16 half inch slices.
Another way to make these extra tasty is you can substitute lemon flavoring for the anise seed.
You can also add candied dry fruit.
Almond flavoring works well to, it's really just a matter of taste.
