Lose Weight Now by Having a Healthy Relationship With Food

Everyone has a different relationship with food.
Different factors in your life can change that relationship.
Most people have some type of feeling they get when they eat food such as a comforting feeling or pleasurable feeling when they eat certain things.
This can be a problem if you comfort yourself by eating to feel better rather than because your body is hungry.
If you answer yes to any of the below questions you could have an unhealthy relationship with food.
- You eat even if you are not hungry - You feel bad when you eat certain foods that are high in calories - You eat when you are feeling lonely or stressed out - You stuff yourself with unhealthy foods when you are by yourself Let's now look at some possible reasons you may have answered yes to the above questions and how you can stop the bad habits that lead to them.
Not being hungry but still eating is very common for people.
There are many influences around us that cause us to eat when our body isn't telling us to.
You may eat just because you are bored and it is something to do.
You often eat when you are not hungry when you are in a social setting just because other people around you are eating lunch or dinner.
You must know if you are eating due to you being hungry or if it is just because your friends or family is eating.
Feeling bad about eating certain foods that are high in fat content is usually something our conscious is telling us not to do.
You have been told that certain foods are bad because they lead to weight gain so you beat yourself up if you slip and eat something sweet.
It's alright to eat something you love every once in awhile without feeling guilty.
People all deal with stress, anger and loneliness in different ways and eating is one way some people cope with these feelings.
If you are overweight then this can be a very bad habit for you.
There have been studies done that show a relationship between eating and emotions by recording how women feel before they eat.
It has been determined that obese women are more likely to eat due to the way they are feeling compared to normal weight women.
If you eat when you are feeling emotional then you have to find a different activity that is more productive when you are feeling stressed, sad or angry.
Some possible solutions can be as simple as going for a walk, take a yoga class or meditate or talk to a family member or friend.
Indulging in eating high calorie foods when you are only alone can be another bad habit.
This usually happens because you feel bad about eating certain foods around people because you think of them as bad foods and that you will be judged.
So after restricting yourself for so long from these foods you wait until you are alone and you over indulge and eat more than you should.
Remember that moderation is a good philosophy to have and if you eat a little of something you love every once in awhile then you won't binge on food that can lead to gaining weight.
