Overview

• The spellcasters in “Yu-Gi-Oh!” bring powerful magical spells and abilities to the field in order to defeat opposing duelists in the card game’s matches. These monsters control the currents of magic itself in order to overcome any threats posed by stronger or larger creatures. Yu-Gi-Oh! spellcaster decks often focus on one spellcaster or group of spellcasters in order to gain the greatest benefit from spells that support that particular wizard.
  
  

Dark Magician Deck

• The Dark Magician monster card enables players to cast a variety of spells and creatures. Dark Magician may cast Dark Magic Attack to destroy all opposing traps and spells, or may sacrifice itself in order to summon the Dark Sage. Dark Magic Girl gains power from every Dark Magician in play, whether they are alive or dead. This deck focuses on powering up a team of Dark Magicians and Dark Magic Girls to overwhelm opposing defenses.
  
  

Infliction Deck

• The Dark Eradicator Warlock sits at the heart of the Infliction Deck. Every spell cast once the warlock is in play deals 1,000 damage to an opponent. The Blast Magician also features prominently in infliction decks by removing spell counters from itself in order to destroy opposing creatures. This deck focuses on quickly bringing these two spellcasters into play and then casting a large number of spell cards in order to quickly end the match. Skilled duelists may also employ Breaker the Magical Warrior to destroy spell and trap cards in the same fashion as the Blast Magician.
  
  

Exodia, the Forbidden One

• Exodia, the Forbidden One completely changes the rules of the game. While most players attempt to win by either depleting an opponent’s life totals or running them out of cards, an Exodia player has a different goal in mind. Any player that can garner the five cards that represent the pieces of Exodia, the Forbidden One immediately wins the match. These cards may either be located in the playing field or in a player’s hand. Exodia spellcaster decks rely on spells to search for and locate the pieces of the Forbidden One. These decks should focus on stalling an opponent with spells such as Swords of Revealing Light until all of the spellcaster pieces are assembled.
