- 1). Unplug the Whirlpool Duet dryer from the electrical outlet.
- 2). Scoot the dryer away from the wall for easy access to the back panel.
- 3). Unscrew the screws along the back panel of the dryer using a Phillips-head screwdriver. Take the back panel off the dryer.
- 4). Find the fuse casing on the top right side of the dryer. The fuse’s casing has a small white plastic ring around it with a black center.
- 5). Disconnect the two wires on the fuse casing using needle-nose pliers.
- 6). Unscrew the two hex screws that hold the fuse into the casing using a hex nut screwdriver.
- 7). Pull the old fuse out of the casing, and then insert the new fuse.
- 8). Screw the hex screws back into place. Reconnect the wires to the casing.
- 9). Replace the back panel and screw it back into place.

Scoot the Whirlpool Duet dryer back into place. Plug it back into the electrical outlet.
