- 1). Locate the coolant reservoir or expansion tank (2.7L V6 only) on the passenger side of the engine bay.
- 2). Verify the level of engine coolant in the reservoir or expansion tank. With the engine cold, it should be slightly above the "COLD" or "MIN" line. If the fluid level is below this line, you must add more coolant.
- 3). Fill an empty plastic milk jug half full of antifreeze. Then fill the other half with water.
- 4). Screw the cap onto the milk jug and shake it to mix the contents.
- 5). Unscrew the cap on the coolant reservoir or expansion tank by rotating it counterclockwise by hand.
- 6). Pour the 50/50 mix of antifreeze and water into the coolant reservoir until the fluid level reaches just above the "COLD" or "MIN" line.
- 7). Screw the cap onto the coolant reservoir or expansion tank.
