- 1). Open the Control Panel. It will be found under the "Start" menu at the bottom of the screen.
- 2). Click the "Network and Internet Connections" option.
- 3). Click the "Network Connections" option.
- 4). Right-click on the "Wireless Network Connection" option.
- 5). Choose "View Available Wireless Networks" from the list that appears. A dialog box with the results from a scan of the wireless networks available appears.
- 6). If the scan doesn't find the network you seek, click on the "Refresh" button at the bottom of the window and the computer will perform another search.

- 3). Click on the "Network and Internet" category on the right side of the screen.
- 4). Click on the "View Network Status and Tasks" option.
- 5). Click on "Manage Network Connections" on the left side of the screen.
- 6). Right-click on the "Wireless Network Connection" option.
- 7). Choose "Connect/Disconnect" from the list of options that appears. The computer will scan for wireless networks in the area.
- 8). If the scan doesn't find the network you seek, click the "Refresh" button at the top of the screen and the computer will search again.
