Egg Parachute

• On this competition, players---or teams---must create a parachute for the egg. This parachute must slow down the egg's fall, so that it touches the ground without breaking. The material of the parachute, as well as the shape, size and the way it is attached to the egg must be left to the contestants. However, the side of the egg touching the ground must be bare, which means it should not have sticky tape or strings on it.
  
  

Free Fall

• Boxes filled with Styrofoam or even jars full of peanut butter can help cushion the fall of an egg and prevent it from breaking. However, if the player throws the egg too fast, from a great height or fails to hit the prepared target, the egg is going to break anyway. Contestants must throw an egg on both the box and the jar and a broken egg on either occasion means instant elimination.
  
  

Package Drop

• In this game, competitors have to create a package that contains an egg, along with other materials, such as Styrofoam, cotton or paper. The package can be a small Pringles packet or a packet of two tennis balls, but not much larger than the egg itself. When contestants believe they have safely sealed the egg in the package, they must drop it from above 15 feet. A tall ladder can come in handy during this game.
  
  

Brainstorming

• Each contestant gets a newspaper and some sticky tape, cotton and string. With an egg and these materials in hand, they have 15 minutes to come up with a way to prevent their egg from breaking when falling on a hard surface (concrete, for instance). All modifications must be on the egg itself, not on the ground. Lay down some newspaper sheets, as there is no guarantee all ideas can be successful.
