- 1). Measure the rotating cuff on the back of the reloading press. As you operate the ram arm, this mechanism pivots back and forth.
- 2). Cut a piece of wood to fit onto the top bolt of the rotating cuff. Shape the end of the wood to fit snug around the cuff dimension.
- 3). Cut a 1-inch diameter PVC pipe to 8 inches long. Cut a hole at the bottom of the PVC pipe large enough to allow a brass case to fit through.
- 4). Mount a flange bracket on the bottom of the PVC pipe. Secure the PVC pipe to the wood via the flange bracket using wood screws.
- 5). Fabricate a 2-inch-wide by 3-inch-long ramp out of aluminum bar stock using metal cutting tools. Chisel a flat channel using a rat tail file at the tip of the ramp to fit your brass case dimensions.
- 6). Secure the ramp under the hole in the PVC pipe using screws. Attach a 6-inch tension spring to the front of the PVC pipe, across the bottom hole. Attach the other end of the spring to the top bolt on the rotating cuff. Fill the PVC pipe with brass cases.
- 7). Lower the ram arm, and the case will slide out of the PVC pipe and onto the ramp groove while simultaneously placing it into the shell holder. The spring will only allow one case at a time per movement of the ram arm.
