How to Change Passwords in Linksys WRT54G Routers

1). Open your preferred internet browser on a computer that is connected to the Linksys WRT54G router.
2). Enter "192.168.1.1" in your web browser's address field. This is the IP address for your router on the network. A login dialog box will appear.
3). Leave the user name field empty. Input "admin" in the password field. Click "OK" to log into the router. The blank user name and "admin" password are the default configuration settings for your router.
4). Click "Security". Type the new password you want to assign to the user account. Enter it again in the "Re-Enter to Confirm" field. Click "Apply".
5). Close your internet browser after you have completed the password change to protect your router from unauthorized access.
