- 1). Unplug the refrigerator from the wall outlet prior to beginning the repair.
- 2). Look under the trim of the control panel for a screwdriver slot. Insert a flat-head screwdriver into the slot and gently pry the front panel of the dispenser off. Be careful not to damage the finish of the refrigerator.
- 3). Remove the control panel from the rear of the trim. To remove, depress the tabs securing it into position and pull it out of the slot.
- 4). Snap the new control panel into the trim.
- 5). Transfer the wire connector or connectors, depending on model, from the old control panel to the new control panel.
- 6). Align the trim with the front of the refrigerator and then snap it back into position.
- 7). Restore power to the refrigerator to complete the repair.
