- 1). Click the Windows "Start" menu and click in the "Start Search" box.
- 2). Type "cmd" (without quotes) and press "Enter" to launch the Command Prompt window.
- 3). Type "ipconfig/all" (without quotes) and press "Enter." You should see your network information including the IP address, subnet mask and physical address. Scroll down to the "Subnet Mask" category. You should see the subnet mask numbers.
