- 1). Hang the pictures ledges in rows along the walls of a long hallway. Hang the ledges side-by-side along the top or center of the wall to create a continuous horizontal row. Hang the ledges along one wall in the hallway, or on both of the walls, across from one another.
- 2). Create two or three horizontal rows of pictures ledges in the hallway. Hang one ledge in the middle of the wall and another above it, or you can also hang another below the center ledge. Hang several ledges side-by-side, creating two or three rows along the length of one or both of the walls.
- 3). Display the ledges in a rectangular formation. Hang four or five ledges with 8 to 10 inches of space between them, to create a vertical column. Hang another four or five ledges next to the first column so that they ledges are parallel, but have a 4- to 6-inch gap between them. Hang another column of four or five ledges next to the center column of ledges so that they are parallel to the previous column with a 4- to 6-inch gap between.
- 4). Hang different sized ledges in a haphazard manner on the walls of your hallway. For example, hang a long ledge in the middle of the wall, a medium-sized shelf slightly higher and off-set from the long ledge and short ledge slightly higher than and offset from the medium-sized ledge.
