- 1). Buy enough florescent lighting for the entire workshop;use at least one 4 foot bar for every 6 square feet. Remove the packaging from the florescent lighting. Set up the ladder underneath the first area where the florescent lighting will go.
- 2). Remove the bulb from the lighting fixture. Take the fixture, drill and two of the 2-inch screws up the ladder. Place the fixture on the ceiling with the bottom flat side against it. Place one screw on the drill bit of the drill.
- 3). Press the screw into the screw hole on one side of the fixture squeeze the trigger to the press and firmly press upward. Stop the drill when the screw is completely immersed in the fixture. Screw the other screw into the the other side of the fixture using the same method.
- 4). Retrieve the florescent bulb. Set the bulb into the fixture on the ceiling and press lightly until it locks into place. Use the attached power cord on the fixture to plug into a wall socket and turn the light on.
- 5). Set up the work lamp directly on or above the work area of the garage workshop. Plug in the power cord and direct the lamp toward any work in progress.
