Whether you're looking for a sophisticated place to sip a martini or let loose with tropical drinks, the Eastern Shore of Maryland features plenty of bars among the rural farmland of the peninsula. From Salisbury to Ocean City, these Lower Shore cities house bars with unique cocktails and draft beers. - Tucked away in a strip mall along Coastal Highway in the resort town of Ocean City, Kirby's Pub is a small, dark tavern featuring high-top tables with seating for two to eight people, as well as the traditional counter-and-stools bar. The bar shows its loyalty to Maryland sports teams: Each wall is dedicated to the Baltimore Orioles, the Baltimore Ravens and the University of Maryland Terrapins. Come in while these teams are playing, and you can catch the game on one of the bar's flat-screen TVs.
It also boasts a full bar. On draft are the typical domestic beers, such as Coors Light and Yuengling. Kirby's offers typical bar-food fare, including daily specials, such as Monday's burger night or taco night on Wednesday.

Situated on the banks of the Wicomico River, Salisbury's Market Street Inn offers cocktails, upscale beers and a wine list in its pub. The pub is a dark space, even in the daytime, and is outfitted with a handful of high-back booths that seat from two to six people and have its own flat-screen TV. The pub, though it shares a kitchen with the adjacent restaurant, is a separate entity, complete with its own entrance.
Market Street is well-known among residents for its extensive martini list, and it invites patrons to join its "martini club." As guests work their way through the list of 31 martinis and two martinis of the week, bartenders keep track of their progress. Once all martinis have been ordered, the patron's name is handpainted in a martini glass on the ceiling of the pub. Martinis on the list include The James Bond Martini, made with vodka, gin, dry vermouth and twist, and The Market Street Inn Cosmopolitan, made with lime vodka, Triple Sec and cranberry juice.

For the past 22 years, Seacrets has been entertaining tourists and residents alike with its 18 bars, two stages (which feature reggae and rock bands) and maximum capacity of 3,300 people, according to the New York Times. The bar is located in the beach town of Ocean City, a 10-mile-long peninsula sandwiched between the Atlantic Ocean to the east and the Assawoman Bay to the west.
The bar promotes itself as Jamaica, USA, and includes its "irie" vibe throughout the restaurant and bar, which possess sandy floors, tiki hut bars and palm trees. The second floor of the bar houses radio station Ocean 98, which broadcasts live webcams of the bar on its website.
One of the bar's more interesting features is how it takes advantage of its location on the beach of the Assawoman Bay. During hot summer days, patrons can wear bathing suits to the bar and wade out into the bay, where they find high-top tables and pool rafts. Waitresses in black bikinis will serve drinks to the bay tables. The menu's specialty drinks are reminiscent of the fruity, frozen beverages you might in Jamaica: Pina coladas, rum runners and dirty bananas.
