The other red wines are very particular to the region.
Beaujolais is only made in France for example, as are wines of Cotes Du Rhone.
Another French red wine varieties are from Bordeaux.
The two most popular Italian red wines are going to be Lombroso & Chianti.
California also has its own red wine favorite, it is Zinfandel.
What about sparking wine? Well, most places in the world refer to sparking wine as Champagne.
This was legal until recently, when a pact has made it illegal to refer to sparkling wine as champagne, unless it really does come from the French region.
You see, Champagne is a place in France which was very well known for their sparkling wines.
The name Champagne became synonymous with sparkling wine around the world.
