- 1). Remove the griddle and top grates from your Merritt O'Keefe stove. If your stove has multiple top pieces remove all of the pieces.
- 2). Determine if your stove has one or two pilot lights for its top burners. If your model has one pilot light, you will find the pilot in the center of the four burners. If your model has two pilot lights, you will find the pilots centered between each pair of burners.
- 3). Light the burner pilot or pilots with a match. Adjust the pilot light to the desired height. The pilot height adjustment valve is located at the point where the pilot tube connects to the main feed pipe.
- 4). Replace the griddle and top grates on your Merritt O'Keefe stove.
- 5). Rotate the knob the corresponds to the individual burner you want to light in a clockwise motion until the desired flame height is reached.
