- 1). Paint the craft sticks if you desire. Paint them with a red or green acrylic paint so that they match the Christmas décor. Allow the paint to dry completely before you begin gluing the sticks together.
- 2). Place two craft sticks vertically on a flat surface. Space them apart so that they are as wide as the picture that you wish to frame.
- 3). Lay two craft sticks horizontally on the top and bottom of the vertical sticks. This creates the sides of the picture frame.
- 4). Apply craft glue to the sticks to attach them together. Allow the glue to dry completely.
- 5). Glue buttons or sequins around the picture frame.
- 6). Turn the frame over and glue a 6-inch piece of cord to the back. Attach each end of the cord to the back of the picture frame to create a loop that you can hang on the Christmas tree.
- 7). Cut the picture so that it fits in the opening of the frame. Tape the picture onto the back of the frame.
