- 2). Set up the food processor with the metal blade.
- 3). Chop the food using on/off pulses until it is coarsely chopped. To use the on/off pulse technique, press the pulse lever and hold it down for one second, release the lever, wait one second and then press the lever again, repeating this press/release sequence until the food is coarsely chopped.

- 1). Cut food into pieces that will fit into the feed tube.

- 4). Turn food processor on.
- 5). Push food through the feed tube using the food pusher. Use light pressure for soft foods and medium to firm pressure for other foods, depending on their hardness.
- 1). Put a blade into the food processor bowl. If your recipe calls for more than 3-1/2 cups of flour, use the plastic dough blade. If your recipe calls for less than 3-1/2 cups of flour, use the metal blade.
- 2). Add flour, other dry ingredients, and fats to the bowl. Run the food processor for about 20 seconds to combine them evenly.
- 3). Add liquid through the cover opening in a slow, steady stream while the processor is running.
- 4). Continue running the processor for 60 seconds after the dough begins to clean the sides of the bow and forms a ball.
