- Drinking a cup of tea made in a player-owned house will temporarily raise your construction skill level by between one to three points, depending on the type of cup used. A clay cup will boost the skill by one point, a white porcelain cup by two points and a gold-rimmed porcelain cup by three points. The type of cup available will depend on the quality of shelves in your kitchen.
- Making a cup of tea requires Level 20 cooking skill. You will need to take a cup, kettle and teapot from the shelves and one unit of tea leaves from the larder. Use the kettle on the sink to fill it with water (to use an item, click it in your inventory, then click on the item, object or character you wish to use it on.) Use the full kettle on the range and use the tea leaves on the teapot. Remove the kettle when you receive a message that the water is boiling, then use the kettle on the teapot. Use the teapot on an empty cup to create a cup of tea.
- The Crystal Saw is an item obtained in the Eyes Of Glouphrie quest. It gives a +3 construction skill bonus when you are constructing items of furniture that only require a saw. You cannot use the Crystal Saw bonus to build rooms that are precluded by your unboosted construction skill level as building rooms requires a hammer as well as a saw. The Crystal Saw has 28 charges, with one charge being used for each piece of furniture built.
- If you do the Evil Dave part of the Recipe For Disaster quest, you will learn how to make a special, stat-boosting stew. The stew is made using four, colored spices, with each spice affecting different skills. The first stew you make must contain all four spices, but subsequent stews can be made with any combination of spices. Orange spice affects the construction skill, among others, and you can make a stew using four units of orange spice. The skill level bonus received is random and may even be negative, ranging from -6 to +6.
