- 1). Paint the wall in a light paint color, using the paint roller for a smooth and even coating. Pick a paint color that blends into the surrounding space, such as a cream shade when the surrounding walls are also neutral shades.
- 2). Measure a 6-inch space from the top of the ceiling down, after the paint dries. Mark the same spot on the opposite side of the wall. Place a thumbtack on each side of the wall. Wrap the string around each thumbtack, showing the bottom line. Trace your pencil along the line and remove the thumbtacks and string.
- 3). Apply masking tape to the bottom of your pencil line, differentiating the top and bottom of the wall. Paint the darker paint shade along the line. Once the paint dries, remove the masking tape and touch up the line if needed with a paintbrush.
- 4). Install a hanging pendant light from the ceiling in front of the rounded wall. When you turn the light on, the light bounces back and reflects off the wall, highlighting the curved shape. Look for a light with a curved design for maximum impact.
- 5). Arrange two chairs and a small table in front of the curved wall. The rounded design of the furniture will play off the curved shape of the wall and carrys the shape off the wall. Add a tall rounded vase to the center of the table.
