Places to Have Children's Birthday Parties in South Jersey

The Mega Movies Theater is just east of downtown New Brunswick, in southern New Jersey. It offers birthday party packages for groups of 15 children or more. Prices, as of March 2011, start from $15.75 to $18.75 per child. A minimum of two adults must be on hand to supervise. Packages include use of the theater's party room for one hour, basic snacks, drinks and movie tickets. The basic package offers popcorn, soda and mini candy. The top package offers a slice of pizza or small ice cream cup as well as a tour of the projection room. For larger parties, private auditorium shows also are available. All children must be within the right age range for the movie selected.

Sahara Sam's Oasis Indoor Water Park is located just northeast of downtown West Berlin, in southern New Jersey. The park offers small group party facilities and packages for up to 10 children, starting at $18 per child as of March 2011. Additional children can be added for $11.95 each. Events last three hours with one hour and 45 minutes of water park time. The other 45-minutes are spent in the party room. Packages include $10 arcade game voucher cards, decorations, pizzas and pitchers of soda. Entry for the birthday boy or girl is free and they also receive a souvenir shirt and a large ice cream sundae.

Playdrome is located close to downtown Cherry Hill, in southwest New Jersey. The venue offers bowling party packages that last two hours, with one hour and 15 minutes of bowling. The other 45-minutes are spent in the Playdrome's function room. Depending on the age and experience of the children, the venue can raise or lower the bumpers on the bowling lanes and supply ramps for younger kids. Shoe rental and paper party products such as tablecloths, plates and cups are included in the party price. Prices, as of March 2011, range from $13.95 to $19.95 per child, with a minimum of 10 guests.

The Funplex amusement park is close to downtown Laurel Mountain, in southern New Jersey. It offers a wide range of party types including a basic party with choice of one game, bowling, stuffed animal making and parties at the Splashin' Speedway. The Splashin' Speedway water park is a small playground with slides, water cannons and jets. As the Speedway is outside, it is only available during the summer months. The Ultimate party package includes use of all Funplex attractions which include bumper cars, go-karts, bumper boats, mini golf and laser games. Party packages, as of March 2011, range from $11.95 to $35.95 per child, with a 10 person minimum.
