- 1). Visit The Little Rock Zoo. The Little Rock Zoo is home to more than 700 animals and is fairly inexpensive to visit. Adult and child tickets are under $10 each. Throughout the year, the zoo hosts a variety of attractions and activities in effort to keep visits new and exciting.
- 2). Visit the Museum of Discovery. The Arkansas Museum of Discovery is a great place to visit for people of all ages. Inside the museum, you will find rare collections (including a mummy coffin), an Arkansas Indian exhibit and an imagination station which promotes supervised science experiments. Other activities also include a health hall, bug exhibit, and a cultural exhibit which features different artifacts from around the world.
- 3). Go to the Clinton Library. There are only 12 presidential libraries commemorating the life and career of a former U.S. President. Little Rock, the home of former President Bill Clinton, is also the home of the Clinton Presidential Library. When visiting the library, you can take a self-guided tour or, at your request, a guided tour can be arranged only by a reservation made at least 14 days prior to your visit. Throughout the year, the Clinton Library is host to a number of events and exhibits.
- 4). Visit The River Market. The River Market is located in the heart of downtown Little Rock on the banks of the Arkansas River. You can spend the entire day and night at the River Market and never run out of things to see and do. The River Market features great places to eat, shop and relax with your family. In the summer months, regularly scheduled family events cover the calender as well as outdoor movies which are shown at sunset. - 5). Visit Dickey-Stephens Park. When visiting Little Rock during baseball season, sports fans will enjoy watching an Arkansas Travelers minor league game at the Dickey Stephens Park. After being located in their old home stadium for 74 years, the Dickey-Stephens Park was built for the Travelers in 2007. General admission to a game is less that $10 a ticket.
