- 1). Measure one side of the cabinet vertically, where it sits against the wall. Mark out that measurement on a piece of quarter-round trim. Use two marks on the trim, with the measured span between them.
- 2). Set the trim on a miter saw, positioned so the two flat sides are sitting on the platform and on the back rail of the saw and so the curved front is facing out.
- 3). Slide the trim so one of the marks is under the blade. Swivel the blade to point 45 degrees away from the trim. Make the cut.
- 4). Move the trim so the second mark is in front of the blade. Swivel the blade 45 degrees in the opposition direction, so it’s again pointing outward. Make the cut.
- 5). Set the trim next to the cabinet, on the vertical line where it meets the wall, so the curved edge of the trim is facing outward. The angled cuts at the top and bottom should jut out at the ends.
- 6). Secure the trim with a pin nailer, shooting the pins every 12 inches.
- 7). Repeat the process for the trim around the rest of the cabinet. The angled cuts should butt against each other to make the corners.
