- A Muslim woman should be the pillar of support for her husband. She should support him in the things that he is doing. The woman should create a home environment that is relaxed, where she and her husband can live comfortably and happily. Married Muslim women are not required to work but they can if they choose to do so. A Muslim woman should also be faithful and loyal to her husband, as he should be to her.
- Jannah states that management of the household is the woman's primary responsibility. However, she is not required to perform all of the household duties. Household duties may include house cleaning and meal preparation. The woman can choose to perform these duties herself or hire someone to do them for her; it is very important that she supervise anyone doing the work. The woman's husband can also assist with performing household duties.
- It is a Muslim woman's duty to dress a certain way when you she goes out in public. When out in public, a Muslim woman should dress modestly, covering her body. She should wear the hijab, which is the headpiece that covers her hair and parts of her face. The Muslim Woman states that Islamic dress allows women to be respected for her mind and not her body.
- Muslim women, just like Muslim men, are required to pray five times a day. The prayer times vary each month. Sultan states that women can be exempted from attending the mosque for their five prayers a day because of their role as mothers. Even if the woman doesn't have children, she can choose do her five prayers at home, but she should attend Friday's prayer at the mosque.
