- 1). Fill the tub with water at a temperature of at least 140 degrees Fahrenheit. The water level should be at least 1 inch above the highest jet in the tub.
- 2). Pour in 1 cup of chlorine bleach. Add a little detergent if you like, and turn on the system. Allow it to run for at least 10 minutes and then turn it off. Let the chlorinated water sit in the tub for approximately 15 minutes longer.
- 3). Drain the tub thoroughly. Fill it with cold water, run the system for 10 to 20 minutes then allow it to drain.
