- 1). To form the box bottom, draw a two-inch by three-inch rectangle in the center of a piece of card stock. If you are using patterned card stock, draw on the blank side. Mark the corners of the rectangle by poking holes with a pushpin. To create the sides of the box, draw two-inch lines from each corner of the rectangle, perpendicular to each side. Connect the ends of each line to create the sides. Now the original rectangle should be adjoined by two additional rectangles of the same size and two two-inch by two-inch squares.
- 2). Create tabs for gluing the box together. Draw half-inch wide by two-inch long rectangles on two sides of each two-inch by two-inch square. The bottoms of the tabs will adjoin the longer sides of the unfolded box.
- 3). Cut out your favor box. Be sure to cut the full two-inch height of the longer box sides by cutting to the pushpin holes marking the box bottom; this will free the bottoms of the glue tabs.
- 4). You may use your first box as a template to create more boxes. Trace the outline of the box on a new piece of card stock. Mark the corners of the box bottom with a pushpin. Draw fold lines using the pin holes as a reference.
- 5). For easier folding, lightly score the fold lines with a craft knife or a scoring tool along a ruler. Fold all sides and the tabs along the fold lines. Apply glue to the tabs and fasten them to the inside faces of the longer box sides. Allow the box to dry completely before decorating.
- 1). Create the wheels using card stock in a contrasting color. Draw four one-and-a-half inch circles with a compass or by tracing an appropriately sized circular object. Cut out the circles. Create the canopy by cutting a paper baking cup in half with scissors. Cut a four-inch length of ribbon for the handle.
- 2). Attach the wheels to the box by gluing a circle to each bottom corner, with the center of the circle at the corner. One quarter of each circle should overlap a long side of the box.
- 3). Glue half of a paper baking cup to the top of the box to create the canopy, overlapping the edge by about one-eighth inch. Glue the flat bottom of the baking cup along the top of a short side. Glue the baking cup's two remaining cut edges along the tops of the longer box sides.
- 4). To create the handle, glue the ends of the ribbon to the inside top corners of the box, opposite the canopy.
