• 1). Browse to Facebook.com, and log in with your username and password. Click on "Account" in the upper right corner, then click "Account Settings."
  
  
• 2). Click "Notifications" in the bar on the left. Click the check box under the envelope icon to enable or disable email notification for that type of event. If there is no check in the box, you won't receive an email for that notification. Click "Save" when you're done editing your notification preferences.
  
  
• 3). Open your email, and find a notification from Facebook -- if you just enabled email notification you'll have to wait until one is generated, your own comments won't create a notification for you. Open the notification email, then reply to the email with the comment that you want to make. Facebook automatically creates a comment from the email that you used to contact them.
