- 1). Open the Start menu and click on the "My Computer" icon.
- 2). Click on the "My Documents" link on the left side of the window.
- 3). Go to the "Tools" menu and select "Folder Options." Make sure that the "Show hidden files and folders" option is selected.
- 4). Highlight the item with a Remote Desktop icon labeled "Default."
- 5). Right-click on the "Default" icon and choose the "Delete" option.
- 6). Empty the Recycling Bin to completely delete the Remote Desktop file and remove the drop-down list of recent connections.
